The Montana Independent Film Festival has opened a call for entries for the 2009
season. The festival is seeking films of all types, lengths, and genres that celebrate
the alternative vision
of independent, provocative, and experimental filmmaking.

FILM AWARDS FOR 2008 FESTIVAL
After it was all said and done, these films stood out from the competition as special
examples of the film qualities prized by MTIFF, creativity, ingenuity, quality, cultural
and social insight, and uncompromising sensativity to the world around them. MTIFF
awards a wide variety of film distinctions, including Best Feature, Best Actor, Best
Documentary, and the Oro y Plata Award for Excellence in Filmmaking.
